Newsletter 29 May 2020
Hello to you all.
I trust that now we are well out of Level 3 – Covid 19, the majority of you are back to work and hopefully those with businesses, your lives are quickly returning to pre lockdown.
It’s obvious that it will be some time (I reckon at least 18 months – 2 years) before we are free to travel the world again.
For me, travelling to the US to major events will be sadly missed for 2020 and perhaps 2021!
Unfortunately, some of what we were working on for 2021 will not happen due to border closures. This means we will be looking at other ways to add additional excitement to Americarna 2021 which we are 100% certain the public will thoroughly enjoy.
So, where are we at currently? Clearly, until we go to Level 1 and know exactly what numbers will be permitted, our hands are somewhat tied.
Both Americarna and TVET are in discussion with funders to ensure we have the appropriate funds available to make 2021 a huge success with a number of pleasant surprises for those attending.
The dates again for 2021 are 24 – 27 February 2021.
Our website has a list of our preferred accommodation providers. These people have supported the event for some years and we ask that you please support those who have supported us.
This year we will not be approaching any of our preferred accommodation providers for sponsorship due to the massive downturn their businesses have experienced. More on that later but it would be encouraging for those of you who intend being here in New Plymouth for the Classic Cover Americarna 2021 event to pre-book with our preferred supporters.
The June issue of NZ Hot Rod features the Classic Cover Americarna 2020 event so, if you don’t subscribe, then go and grab a copy and recall the last great car event for the summer of 2020.
Our next email will follow very soon after Level 1 is announced to confirm registration is open.
Take care and stay safe out there.
