Newsletter 2nd November 2017

Hi All

In October 2017 The Americarna Event was officially acknowledged as The No.1 Event in Taranaki.

Congratulations to the Taranaki Vehicle Events Trust (TVET) for winning the “Events and Attractions” Excellence Award at the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards 2017.
The Americarna Event is recognised as one of the TOP events held in Taranaki.  The event has been running for 10 years with the last 4 years being jointly managedunder the specifically formed Taranaki Vehicle Events Trust and Americarna NZ Ltd.  The Taranaki Vehicle Events Trust are responsible for organising the event with many wonderful people who each have a specialised role to play.
John Rae has created an event in Taranaki that envelopes his passion for American Cars and American Bikes.  Together, the result is Americarna.  Celebrating USA Culture.

TVET’s role is to generate the funding required for the public component and to work with John on managing the entrant/car side of the events.
TVET received a $500 Air New Zealand voucher as part of the award and this will be drawn as a spot prize at the Classic Cover Welcome Function on the Wednesday evening 21st February 2018.

Other good news is New Plymouth District Council are now on board as ‘Major Sponsor of the Americarnival Family Fun Day’.  Americarna is recognised as a yearly fixture in the calendar of events for Taranaki.
All good stuff
