Latest News - 9 February 2017
Hi all......Well, not long now before Americarna 2017 kicks off, so like you, we're hopeful the weather will come right for the event! Apart from the far North and Hawkes Bay, most of New Zealand hasn't had summer yet, so fingers crossed.
The team is flat out, as you can imagine, getting everything finalised.
We have nailed the caterer for both functions to agree to the bar prices that we feel are acceptable, so I’m happy where we are with this.
Saturday Night Farewell Function
Dinner tickets will be on sale at registration during the event at $30 per person. The menu and variety look great for the price. Only those who purchase meal tickets will be allowed into the venue prior to 7:30 pm on Saturday night. Those who are not having a meal can go upstairs to the bar until the function starts.
We still have some spots available for the Barnett’s Collection and Gallichan Dirt Bike Collection on Tuesday and Historic Speedway display, Wednesday. So email Toni firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to do any of these.
REPCO GO-STOP DRAGS
There is still space for a few more cars here so again, email Toni email@example.com if you want to be a part of that even in Hawera on Friday.
Registration this year is upstairs at the TSB Stadium as we have more room. Should anyone not be able to climb stairs, get someone to let the registration staff know and they will come down to you. You must come to the registration centre to see us before participating in the event. Here you will receive all your event ID and relevant information.
|Tuesday 21st||1:00 pm – 7:30 pm|
|Wednesday 22nd||9:00 am – 6:30 pm|
|Thursday 23rd||9:00 am – 4:00 pm|
|Friday 24th||8:00 am – 10:00 am|
For those that have been before, you will know how to find your way to the Stadium.
For those coming for the first time, if you’re coming south, when you hit New Plymouth, turn left at the end of the racecourse and follow your nose. It’s Rogan Street – opposite the Boys High School.
From North, when you hit New Plymouth, stay in the left lane. At the 4th set of lights, turn left (McDonald's will be to your right). At the top of the hill turn right into Rogan Street.
This is our starting point for each day of the event except for Saturday.
Breakfast is available on site Friday – again, good value for the money.
Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon the bar will open at the venue for you to have a drink and enjoy the time catching up with mates.
Car washing equipment will be on site.
Your daily Run Sheets handed out each morning, contain all the relevant information about what’s happening for that day. Therefore, it’s vital you go to the Stadium each day and don’t second guess what we’re doing!
Z ENERGY FUEL DISCOUNT
Z Energy is offering entrants 10 cents per litre off fuel purchases at participating stations from 20 – 26 February 2017.
