Acceleration Display

Hawera activity Acceleration Display is on the Friday 25 February at 2:30pm, Albion Street, Hawera. It’s a fun core thing. We have the streets lined with barriers and fences to keep the public safe but it’s all about normal road cars giving it a blast!

The categories are as follows:
Pre 1950’s
1951 – 1980
1981 – 2000
2001 upwards
At the start line you start on the green light, your time starts when you do. Your time stops once you have completed the run and passed the finish line. Please slow down for the corner and drive around the block, back to the car park to line up for your next run. Objective: To complete the run as quickly as possible. The winner is determined by the fastest time within your category.

Please take a look at Classic Restos TV footage of the event below. Classic Restos is Australia’s longest running – continually produced – Automotive TV Show of its kind. Classic Restos goes to air on various television networks in SIX countries every week. This means, Americarna NZ will be seen in an episode from Australia, across the Pacific, NZ into Canada, the USA…and even London !! Be sure to “like” the Classic Restos Facebook page as well, where every week, the new updated episode can be seen. I have been covering this event for many years now, it’s a big thanks to Nadine, John Rae & our awesome Americarna team @ New Plymouth, and I look forward to seeing you & your classic in 2022. Cheers & stay safe. Fletch / Classic Restos TV. Australia
