Event Information

The key to the success of the event is older cars, hot rods and special interest vehicles. American Vehicles can be of any age, there is no age cut off.

Once registered, your Registration Number will be awarded in January 2021 with an email sent out with all the updated Event Information.

Entrants be sure to visit the registration centre TSB Stadium, Rogan Street, New Plymouth, to collect your registration pack during registration hours in February. You may be turned away from joining the cruise without your entrant sticker attached to your windscreen.

Registration Fees

Fees are payable at the time of registering by credit or debit card this year through our website. Fees are discounted the earlier you register as per table below. Passenger fee, per passenger, 15 years and over - $50 (this fee also covers any subsequent drivers of the vehicle).

Street Drags

Hawera street drags is on the Friday 26th February at 2:30pm, Albion Street, Hawera. It’s a fun core thing. We have the streets lined with barriers and fences to keep the public safe but it’s all about normal road cars giving it a blast!

Basically you pretend you are next to a car at the lights, and go for it without getting a ticket. The stretch of track is 80 meters long, so enough to shift a few gears before you reach the finish line. Slow down for the corner and around the block for another go.
